Zbigniew Preisner

President of the Jury of the Off Plus Camera Festival 2010. Born in 1955 in Bielsko-Biala, Poland. World renowned composer of music scores for cinema and theatre. His debut was the score for Antoni Krauze's Weather Forecast in 1982. The collaboration with director Krzysztof Kieslowski, started in 1984 with No End, gained Preisner a worlwide recognition. The duo made 17 films together. Preisner's first epic work Requiem dla mojego przyjaciela was a homage to the late director. He also worked with Louis Malle, Thomas Vinterberg, Luis Mandoki,  Søren Kragh-Jacobsen. In 2006 he partnered with David Gilmour working on the latter's  album On An Island.

Zbigniew Preisner has won many prestigious awards, including French Cesar and Silver Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival. He was voted the best composer by L.A. Broadcast Film Critics Association three times so far (1991-1993).
