Kim Dong Ho
The founder and director of the Pusan International Film Festival in Korea. Pusan film festival focuses on introducing new films and first-time directors, especially those from the Asian countries. Moreover, the festival is well known for its appeal to young people: in terms of the large youthful audience it attracts and through its efforts to develop and promote young talent.
Kim Dong Ho is considered one of the world’s top cinema experts. He has been awarded many cultural trophies in recognition of his achievements and efforts in the cultural development of South Korea. Mr Kim Dong Ho has served as the jury member in many other prestigious film festivals such as the Rotterdam, India and the Seattle International Film Festival. His book, ‘History of Korean Cinema Policy’ (written by Kim Dong Ho et al) was published in 2005.
In Krakow, Mr. Kim will join other magnificent guests invited to participate in the Cultural Bridge panel. The core of the discussion will comprise of issues related to the political and economic shifts and the effects they have on contemporary cinema. The panel will be held on April 21st.
